Description of the problem	Message dashboard indicator (mdi) read "inoperative. See operator's manual" with other malfunction lights including check engine light (cel). Turned car off an on and only the cel remained. Also, there was a recurring ticking noise that preceded aforementioned issues that i also reported. Dealership repaired loose pin in engine ecu (p045100) for the cel and replaced a high pressure fuel pump for the ticking noise. Ticking noise continued and vehicle returned to dealership where they determined the ticking noise was related to the dash/radio/ac control panel/dash trimming moving against each other but indicated that this was normal (3778 miles) . The issue related to the mdi and cel occurred again on 01/25/2015. As with the initial occurrence, the cel remained on after restarting the vehicle. The vehicle seemed to stall while i was driving 65 mph on a major highway when driving a few hours later. Fortunately, i was able to exit the highway. I noticed that the car drove very sluggishly. For example, the car would hardly accelerate regardless of how far down i pressed the accelerator after attempting to continue from the red light. I recalled this happening with the first occurrence but then thought it was something i was doing incorrectly. The engine light remained on after restarting the vehicle and as i drove approximately 10 minutes to my final destination. The engine light did not come on when i started the car again at 10:40 am (4017 miles). Out of concern, and advice from family members given what happened when driving at a high speed, i took the car to a local auto store to see if they could determine any fault codes. A code of p2138 was returned.
